Rev. Carroll Norway "Mac" McCready, 95, of Aurora, IN, passed away at 6:18 AM, Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his residence. Mac was born in Carney, MD on November 2, 1926, a son of the late Mary A. (Norton) and Carroll N. McCready, Sr. He attended high school in Towson, MD and was a college graduate of the Practical Bible Training School. Mac proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during WWII, serving in the South Pacific, China, and Japan. On March 21, 1947, he was married to Betty Lee (Watts). They were married for over 74 years until his passing. Mac faithfully pastored for over 50 years. He is now at home with his Lord.

Mac is survived by his wife, Betty McCready of Aurora, IN; sons James "Jim" McCready of Aurora, IN, Jonathan McCready (Julie) of Ridgefield Park, NJ, and Paul McCready (Megan) of Burlington, KY; daughters Susan Cahanin (Steven) of Parrish, FL and Karen Schmalbach (Larry) of Allentown, NJ; brother William McCready of Melbourne, FL, 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Lillian Wintrow and Annabelle Callis.

A public memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 16th at 1 PM. Services will be held at the Independent Bible Church, 20993 Georgetown Road Lawrenceburg, IN 47025.
