Karen: extending our condolences on the passing of your father. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
He didn't talk much but when he did it was always either something worth listening  to or it was something hilarious.  He was a kind and loving man and I'm grateful I had the honor of knowing him. He touched a lot of peoples lives and made the world a better place just by being in it.

When I was very young I had very poor eyesight in my one eye. I had to wear a patch to strengthen it and I could not see well to read. I was telling Pastor McCready that I could not read my Bible because the print was too small. He told me he had an answer and went into his study at the church. He came out with a large print Bible and gave it to me. I was able to read it and I will never forget that. I still have that Bible and it got much use over the years. Thanks Pastor for that Bible.

When I was younger, maybe 5years old, I would sleep over at my grandparents house and I would wake up early when grandad did. I would sit with him in the bathroom while he shaved and got ready for the day. We would sit quietly or he would answer all the questions a child could have. After he was ready we would go into the kitchen at sit down for a bowl of cinnamon life cereal. He would turn the radio on and listen to a morning worship.

I'm happy for all of the wonderful memories and how much time I got with him. I wish there had been more, I wish he could've met my son, but I'll be sure to tell him all about his great grandad.
