It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Ann Young/Redinger/Chapman announces her passing due to suicide, on January 23, 2014, just shy of her being 54 years old.

Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her three children- Hollie Bauron (Sleepy Hollow, IL), Lindsay West (San Antonio, TX), Marc Redinger (San Antonio, TX); her five grandchildren- Madison Bowers, Bella West, Mason Seidler, Norah West and Remi Bauron; her siblings- Eileen Habash and her husband Munir Habash (Schuamburg, IL), Robert Young and his wife Marcia Young (Barrington, IL), and Michael Young and his wife Kirsten Young (Western Springs, IL); her eight nephews and nieces- Bruno Redinger, Liz Redinger, Michael Habash, Crystal Redinger, Emma Young, Joey Young, Stephen Young and Oliver Young; and her ex-husband- Eric Redinger.

Carolyn was a brilliant, radiant, resourceful person. She sacrificed much of her life to her kids, almost to a fault, as she didn't put herself first. Struggling with depression due to an abusive childhood, she was unable to break free from the hardships in life. Sadly, she took her own life.

The family wishes for Carolyn's truth to be known, in hopes that speaking about this taboo subject, someone, somewhere may feel comfort and seek out their own help.
