Mrs. Carolyn "Sioux" Pierce, 77, of Woodland Park, CO, passed away on December 23, 2022 after a long, private battle with Breast cancer.

Sioux was born on July 19, 1945 to Lloyd and Mary Jane Gibson in New Castle, ID. She met Gary Pierce in high school, and they married in the early 60's and had 3 boys, Jeff, Scott and Todd. After Sioux had Jeff and Scott, she decided to quit working and dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Sioux and Gary moved their family to Woodland Park, Colorado in early 1980s, where she continued to live until her death.

Sioux was passionate about Native American Culture and wildlife. This was her decorating style, using both to fill her home with warmth and kindness. Sioux also loved live music and surrounded herself with musicians and others with the same love. On the weekends she could be found in the best spots for Blues or Country. In 2014, she met her fiancé, Mark Edens, who is a musician, singer, songwriter.

We will miss her greatly. Sioux was predeceased by husband, Gary Pierce and son, Jeff Pierce. She is survived by fiancé, Mark Edens, sons, Scott Pierce and Todd Pierce, five grand children, and one great granddaughter There will be a celebration of life on Monday, January 23, 6 pm to 8 pm, at Grandmothers Kitchen, 212 Hwy 24 in Woodland Park, CO. Food and drinks will be provided.
