She was intelligent, kind, very hard working, funny, and really one of the best musicians around. She played so expressively. When I played duets with her, she just took it up to another level. I played better when playing duets with her.
Ms. Savco was such a wonderful sweet lady. She always had a kind and gentle spirit. She was my piano professor at UTA. I never dreaded going to her classes even though I wasn't that great of a pianist. My condolences for her close friends and family
I was just listening to piano instrumental of a hymn and it made me think of Ms. Saco and how she loved those passing chords. So, I decided to look her up and found this site. She was my professor at UTA in the early 2000’s. She was such a joy and a delight. One of my favorites for sure. Continued prayers for you and your family during this time.
My deepest condolences to Carolyn's family. I first met Carolyn as Professor Savko at UT Arlington whenI played for her to test out of piano class. She had such a bright passion for music and always had a kind word for me as I took her courses. She cared about me not just as a student, but as a person and I try to carry that forward to my own students. Professor Savko, you are truly one of a kind and I am so blessed to have been able to know you.
