Carolyn's obituary

Carolyn Krueger, age 83, of Edwardsville, Kansas, passed away the evening of July 10 after suffering complications from a stroke.

Carolyn was born in Minnesota in 1939. She grew up ‘immersed’ in family that would remain very close and be her lifelong support from an early age. She had two siblings, Judy Brannon of California, and the late Richard ‘Rocky’ Amundson of Hawaii.

Carolyn met and married Fred Krueger in the late 1950’s, with whom she had her children. Surviving children are: Taylor Scott, Kelly Lynn, Kathryn Lee, and Robin Rochelle.

She is most remembered for her loving, generous, and kind ways. She nurtured everyone she encountered. She was a true lover of animals, never turning away a stray in need of a home. She loved horses, farm life, and would tackle about anything. She was fearless, humble, and a gifted artist. She excelled in sewing dresses and gowns for her daughters, baking and decorating elaborate wedding cakes, and painting ceramics. However, she would always gain the most reward and inspiration from raising her four children. She was a great cook who loved food. She enjoyed feeding everyone and if you stopped by, you’d better be hungry!

At the time of her passing, Carolyn was sharing her life with longtime companion, Jeffrey Boggs of Kansas City, KS.

“We know that you have moved on to live with the angels, mom. Goodbye to a wonderful woman, dear friend and a beautiful mother.”

Carolyn Krueger is survived by her longtime companion, her sister, four children, numerous nieces and nephews, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
