She was the most caring person and pastor I’ve ever known! She never counted the hours she was available. If someone needed her she was there! She sat beside my husband Alyn when I had back surgery. He was so worried and she kept him calm. She also encouraged me to attend the School for Lay Ministry and I’m so happy I did it. Her love for God showed in everything way possible!! A true angel on earth. Miss her so much.
I dont have a specific birthday memory. I just always remember that when October rolls in, its time for Carolyns Birthday.. She was a wonderful woman and i miss her so much. Happy 80th Birthday in Heaven, my friend. ❤
My condolences to Carolyn's family. I first met Carolyn on a blind double date. But she was the other guys date. I was immediately attracted to her and two weeks later asked her out on our first date. I was soon head over heels in love with her, and had decided that I wanted to marry her; her attraction to me was not so strong.
Please accept my sympathy. I only recently learned of Carolyn's death. I knew her briefly when she was a student in nursing school and I was a student in seminary. Ironically, I left the ministry after only a few years; while she went to seminary after long careers in nursing and counseling. I'm sure she was a wonderful pastor, as well as a wonderful wife and mother.
I attended St. Paul with Carolyn and enjoyed her support and friendship for all those years. She was always such a bright spot in everyone's day. I'm so sorry we had lost touch over the years. I know this is a great loss for all of you, as well as all who knew her and loved her. We were all so blessed to have her in our lives. Pastor Sandy Smith

Carolyn was the first person I met in Hastings and a wonderful friend from that day forever more! Our families grew together in those early busy years, support and adventures were a mainstay of life . Our friendship made the time away from our families and home warm and wonderful. The memories of those happy times and the person who brought them to me will always be in my heart. God speed Dear Carolyn. Peace and Love to your Dear ones. Katy
