Carolyn was my oldest sister in our family and I loved her very much. Through out our lifetime together she always opened up her home for our families to visit together. We are blessed with such memories of seeing Carolyn as a mom raising Gabriel and Lauren from new born babes to lovely adults now. I remember when Carolyn was living at home and starting her studies to become a hygienist that she had this giant toothbrush leaning up against the wall in her bedroom that looked pretty neat. It must have been 5-6 feet tall and a bright color. She asked me if I would like to come in to the school to get my teeth cleaned by her as she needed some experience cleaning and I felt honored to be asked by her. Just before she was going to begin cleaning, she whispered to me to please not yell out that I taste blood! This surprised me! She had this happen with another patient and was so embarrassed. I promised I wouldn't. I was in great hands as she was so professional and gentle through the whole process. I miss her greatly. I loved being her sister in the middle of our family. Much love to Gabriel & Lauren as our family will continue to love, support & be together with you in future days ahead. Love, Aunt Jennifer XOXO
As Carolyns youngest sister with 9 years in age difference, we spent our early years in life doing different things. I always remember recalling how pretty she was and so gentle and kind. I visited Carolyn through the years ahead but it wasn’t until several years later in my marriage and raising children that we began to develop a closer relationship. I will miss our conversations tremendously! Even though the miles were far between us and the phone calls and visits were not frequent we picked right up where we left off and were so happy to connect once again. I loved hearing about all the creative and artistic things she was involved in and was amazed how gifted she was in so many areas. Painting, weaving, pottery, gardening, skiing, kayaking, genealogy were just a few of the things she really enjoyed and did so well!! I loved to hear her play the bagpipe!! I was so amazed at how easily she learned to play! I’m also just so thankful that she found a true friend and partner before her life ended. Someone that she could connect with and would listen and they enjoyed spending time together. Doris 💞
I was sewing recently, on a peaceful afternoon and fond memories of Carolyn came to my mind. I had remembered when she surprised us in sewing fun and very detailed clothes for our dolls. On a Christmas, one year, she sewed all four of us sisters beautiful warm flannel nightgown's. She must of had a helper to figure out all of our sizes , our Mom !
Carolyn ventured out, all throughout her life, to create and develop her God given talents to give and share with others. We certainly loved them and we will miss you!
