Carolyn's obituary

Carolyn Lee (Yeramian) Clawson, 82, shop owner, Tulare Kawasaki Suzuki and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 in her home in Visalia.

Carolyn was born in Dinuba, CA and raised in Kingsburg. She went to Kingsburg schools, graduating from Clay Elementary and Kingsburg High in 1960. She continued her education at Reedley College.

In 1964, on a blind date, Carolyn met a motorcycle enthusiast from Clovis, CA named Ron Clawson (Ronnie). They were married in 1965 and established a home in Kingsburg. In 1966, they had their first daughter, Carron JoAnn. They moved to Hanford and in 1970, Ron and Carolyn opened a motorcycle shop on Lacey Blvd called Claw Tuned. The family lived in a house next door to the shop. They lived and worked there for a decade, and welcomed two more children, Jane Ann and Ronald Armen, in 1974 and 1977 respectively.

Carolyn loved raising her 3 children in the country. She loved being a mom more than anything else. She also loved cooking, sewing, Bible study, crossword puzzles, reading, gardening and making her house a home. She truly loved working at the shop alongside Ronnie and getting to know the customers and the motorcycle business. She worked the parts counter and did all the paperwork for their growing business. Ronnie and Carolyn eventually changed the name to Clawson's of Hanford and sold European brands like Triumph, BMW, Maico, Ducati and more.

In 1979, Ronnie and Carolyn decided to move to Tulare CA in order to sell Kawasaki and Suzuki motorcycles. Tulare Kawasaki Suzuki has been a family owned business for 45 years and Armen will continue the legacy mom and dad began. Carolyn worked at the shop until just a few months ago. She loved being at the shop with Armen and waiting on customers, chatting with them and sharing stories.

Carolyn was also a devoted Christian, who prayed faithfully, loved the Lord and served in any capacity needed at church.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ronnie, her parents, Ed and Virginia Yeramian, and a brother Richard Yeramian. She is survived by her children Carron Kuns (Daved), Jane Clawson, Armen Clawson, her granddaughters, Madeline Kaylee Brouwer (Tim), Chloé Caroline Flores (Caleb), Cambria Clawson Cardenas, great grandchildren Posie Jo Flores, Hallie Caroline Brouwer, Cove Delilah Flores, her sister Linda Ann Bermudez (Rufus), Robert Yeramian and many nieces and nephews.
