Caroline (Luiz) Ellison passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, after a long illness.  Born in Danbury, CT, she later became a lifelong resident of New Jersey, residing in Irvington, Succasunna and Lakewood.

Working in banking from the age of 18, Caroline served as a bookkeeper at Lakeland Savings and Loan and at Valley National Bank in Succasunna upon her retirement.

Caroline was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Brick, NJ.

For nearly 55 years, Caroline was married to Richard, who passed away in 2015.  She was also predecesed by her sister, Ida.

Surviving are her three children, Catherine McCann (Kirk), James Ellison and Christian Ellison (Laura); nine grandchildren, Nicole, Laura, Benjamin, Rachel, Abigail, Stephen, Luke, Rebekah and Dorothy.
