Your mom was someone as a kid I admired because she was so classy but yet wasn't afraid to let loose and be a hands on mom. I loved babysitting you gals. You were the first kids I ever saw have a foot stool with your name on it! Your mom later came to me to get her hair done while still living in Medina. She always had a way to make me forget about my problems by laughing.  She never showed her struggles as she had that amazing smile and laugh, I can hear it now!

Maggie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I adored your mother and every conversation we ever had. I’m so grateful that you and Alexandra became friends and I got to know both of you. Your mom was always so proud of you and she will live on through you and your sister.  She was a shining example of what a mother should be and it shows in the daughters she raised.

Love and hugs,

Melanie Peters

Mike, Marci and Maggie.....My heart is broken that the world has lost such a beautiful woman, inside and out. It has been my honor to have her in my life. We first met when she and Mike would walk to the public library every week to load up on books for her to read during pregnancy. I worked at a jewelry store on the square of Medina that she walked by.  Not really sure how we became friends but there is no  doubt that she probably started the conversation. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor just drew me in. Here we are decades later.  I shared some special years with her when she worked with me at Kay Jewelers. She always filled the store with laughter and fun.....She sent me a Christmas card just a few weeks ago. I sat down and took the time to write one back updating her on life but mostly letting her know I think of her daily and miss her dearly.  Her card is the only one I responded to. She may be gone but she will always hold a special place in my heart.

A mother plays such an important role in our lives and Carole was a shining example of a mother’s love for her children. I had the pleasure of knowing Carole through my daughter, Nicole and her best friend, Maggie (Carole’s daughter). The girls were inseparable from a very young age so Carole and I shared many conversations over the years, celebrating our daughters’ triumphs and supporting each other with motherly advice. I witnessed firsthand Carole’s devotion to her girls. She taught them to be strong. She was there to wipe their tears – but even more important, she laughed with them. She tried to find joy in any situation. We often spoke of ourselves as the second mother to each other’s girls. She was always there to support my Nicole – and I pledge to continue to be there for Maggie – and for Marcie, today and every day. I wish I had the chance to reassure her of that before she left us, but I think that is something she knew she could always count on.

I will forever remember Carol. I remember her laugh, the very most. Always upbeat, always positive.  And quite a sense of humour. I remember her beautiful eyes.  Those who knew her are forever touched with her spirit. I'm so saddened to learn she is gone from earth. But celebrating her next journey. Love, Michelle Colon  XO

The most beautiful woman insi…
The most beautiful woman inside and out. Thank you for loving me as if I were one of your own and for raising two amazing girls. Love you more than words always. XOXO
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother.  I remember seeing her at Rally in the Alley having fun and we would chat.  Also, I remember her at Garfield Elementary helping out.  She was a lovely lady.  Karen Moore (Ashley's mom)  xoxo
Oh my goodness SO many good memories over the years, especially growing up going over to visit in Medina. Trick or treating, movie nights, her famous bowtie pasta! But my absolute favorite was when my mom, Carole, Maggie, Marcie, me + my sister Jamie all were on a drive. John Mayer’s “Your Body is a Wonderland” came on the radio and Carole was absolutely appalled by the lyrics. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in my life!! What a woman. She will be dearly missed, but forever loved.💜
Mike, Marcella and Maggie what a sad day for sure. Your mother and your partner was a firecracker of quick wit and sly sarcasm, and an infectious laugh what a lot of memories came up thinking of Carole! Shall be greatly missed . The photo was the last time we saw each other with Sonya Mason Oliver .
To the women who tried so hard to teach me how to play hearts and I just could not get it. 😂 To the woman who opened her home to me on Thanksgiving, thank you for making me homemade cookies and making me feel at home. You were the most fun, upbeat, down to earth Mom who made me feel like one of your own! We laughed sooo much and I loved every second of it. You are so loved and will be missed greatly. ❤️ You became a bright light in my life and I am truly grateful I got to meet you.

To the most spunky, fun and loving woman - I’m very thankful for the two wonderful daughters you raised and the laughs I have shared with all of you. You always made me smile, especially when you would make fun of me and Maggie for still going to the jonas brothers together at age 25. You will be so incredibly missed.
I have so many amazing memories of my mom. I loved having mom and Marcie days where we would go to the mall and to eat just the two of us. Or movies nights where she would rent three movies and get upset when I’d fall asleep. I loved when I moved into this AWFUL apartment in Chicago and called her crying about how dirty it was. She grabbed her best friend and was in Chicago that weekend to help me clean it. She has done this multiple times. She was always there for me.
