She was the first friend I made when I moved to L.A.  

I almost instantly regretted my move from the Midwest, but I found a kind & funny ally in Carole.  Her observations of situations and people always made me laugh, especially when described in her clever way with that raspy voice of hers. 

I was so sad to hear of her passing. Love and prayers to her family.  I will remember her very fondly. 

So sorry to hear of Carole's sudden passing! I always loved seeing her, either in Chicago or in LA.

I met Carole at the wonderful New Year's Eve Party at the Ziffs. I brought my UCLA People Animal Connection Pet Partner Therapy Dog Pitzel. a Brussels Griffon age 4.  Pitzel was an invited guest. It was love at first sight! Pitzel saw Carole through a large crowd of party guests and was determined to sit on her lap for the party.  I think they had shared deep mutual affection. Pitzel always found the best people for friends and he chose Carole. They spent a great amount of time together which was then replicated with a visit to my home to have Pitzel see his favorite, Carole, again.  Carole and Eileen visited together and again Pitzel expressed his love for Carole. Pitzel has been a wonderful UCLA Santa Monica Therapy Dog for over 5 years and is beloved by all, however, his attraction to Carole was immediate and deep and I am sure they loved each other. This is how I met Carole who discussed planning future visits with Pitzel and me. I will always remember Carole as a special person who exuded love and caring which led my Pitzel to her lap to share a loving connection. I wish Pitzel could join me at her Memorial.
