Carole Lerner was born on November 21, 1954 on the South side of Chicago where she lived for only a brief period before moving to the north side. The majority of her youth was spent in Skokie, where she graduated with honors from the now-defunct Niles East High School. As a teenager she learned about the world of high commerce as an employee of Chicken in the Rough on Dempster. She preferred Poochie’s over Big …
