Carole's obituary
In loving memory of Carole Daffron, who passed away on July 23, 2024, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Carole was born on September 21, 1943, to Jack and Phyllis Martin in Atlantic City, NJ and was also the older sister of Jamey Weber. As the daughter of a career Airforce Captain, she spent her childhood moving around the country and spent a few years in the Philippines. After Carole graduated from high school, she attended Douglas College and later graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. While at Purdue University she met and married her husband of 57 years, Robert (Bob) Daffron. Her greatest legacy is the beautiful family that she and Bob built. She was a loving mother to Tanya (Don) Soich, Robin (Chad) Lyon, Kim (Chad) Baker and Brett (April) Daffron, grandmother to Lexi (Spencer), Logan (Rachel), Korey (Ellen), Megan, Trevor, Mindy, Ethan, Emily, Maddox, Andrew and great grandmother to Emmi, Maci, Brooklynn, and Robbie. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas.
Carole was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. As a strong woman, she faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She and Bob fostered a loving partnership based on common values and commitment. Whether helping with a school project, cheering on at a sporting event, listening to woes big and small, lightsaber battling or playing dress-up, Carole loved and supported her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her strong faith drove her priorities of God, family, good friends, hard work and doing what is right. Carole was a true role model both personally and professionally. She balanced family and career as a high school math and science special education teacher for almost 20 years and later as an adjunct math professor at local community colleges.
A source of inspiration to all, Carole will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Carole was an active member of a women’s small group at Sun Valley Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Sun Valley Community Church, Casa Grande Building Fund.
