From Cousin Ruth Coaxum:
We will always remember her words, always something to say, never at a loss to speak up and speak out. Didn't matter if you wanted to hear it or not!!

I came into Ms. Carole's life almost 2 years ago as her aide at the Simpson House. Within those 2 years I would never have imagined the bond that we shared and the impact that it would have on my life. I had become her last adopted child; she was my MOM MOM. Growing up my mother was not very present in my life, but Ms. Carole blessed me with what a mother's love should really feel like and I am truly grateful for that and will forever cherish her and those feelings.
Ms. Carole was an extremely genuine and caring woman. I will never forget and hold dear to my heart all the special moments we shared. Whenever we would travel she would put the music on and just start dancing. She had a smile that would light up any room, and even on my roughest days I would look forward to going to work just to see her smile and know that everything would be ok. She enjoyed meeting new people and talking about her girls Lorraine and Carol; she was so proud of them. She loved all of her friends and family unconditionally and always loved to take pictures! I am truly grateful, blessed, and honored to have been a part of her life. I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS MS. CAROLE!!!
