I have lost a beautiful friend of 71 years. We kept in touch no matter where I moved to. Carol was a beautiful lady inside and out and I knew she would be there if I needed anything, and she knew I would be there for her.  I will always cherish our memories and friendship together.

Rest in peace Carol til we meet again my friend.

Love, Maureen (Reenie)

We have very great memories of Carol from the time we met as teenagers in Sea Bright, NJ until we both enjoyed a day at the races at Monmouth Park over 20 years ago.  Carol was much fun and full of enthusiasm for all of her endeavors.  She was a very talented and intelligent woman who accomplished much in her lifetime.  She gave the best of herself to her daughters and grandsons.  We extend our love and deepest sympathy to all of her family.

Fondly,  Diane and Scott Hood

I am so so very sorry to learn this news about your mom.  The last time I spoke with her was when she was living at Liza's home.  We had a great conversation even though she struggled remembering some names, etc.  She was very open with her condition and even then, educated me as to how she was handling life.  We spoke a lot about you girls and her grandsons who she adored.  She always seemed to stand up straighter when life was tougher.

We had many great conversations over the years at Mr. Reevey's  coffee breaksas we debated how to solve the problems of the world.  Some day I'll share some of them :)  Her laugh was contagious!!

Carol was a very intelligent woman who loved teaching.  She understood students with special needs and how to help they achieve success in school.

Her death is a great loss.  I am so sorry

Love, Eileen Kubaitis

Brian & Maggie’s Wedding — with sean, grandy, evan

Written by Sean Martin, grandson.

“Good Olè Grandy” treated us like adults even at a young age. She had the utmost respect and confidence in anything we wanted to do. She pushed us to be the best version of our selves and always believed in us to go after our goals even if we didnt think we could accomplish them ourselves. She was an amazing teacher and even helped me learn the basics of note taking in high school which I used all through college pursuing my Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Grandy always encouraged us to try new things and to never give up when life got difficult. She believed this for herself as well. Once the pandemic hit, Caitlyn and I had the privilege of living with Grandy for about 2 years. Although the world was upside down we made the best of “quarantine”. We would eat dinner together every night and go for long dog walks together daily and talk about life and the current state of the world. Although this was a bit of a challenge for her, Grandy looked forward to our walks and even when it was 20° outside she would wear 3-4 sometimes 5 layers and still go for the dog walk so we could spend time together and she could get out of the house for a bit. I also took up the “quarantine hobby” of fish keeping and Grandy and I would talk about the new fish I bought that week or just watch them interact with one another in the aquarium very often and enjoy each other’s company. The other highlights I can remember are when I would close a large deal at work her face would light up with a big smile & she would say “AYYYE ALRIGHT! GOOD JOB!!” And give me a double high five! This became a daily question to ask me if I closed any deals that morning.

I will miss all of our long talks & dog walks together to talk about life and it’s challenges. Her kind and caring heart is always something I will remember. Miss you Grandy and hope you smile when you read this too :) love Sean
