We met Carol recently, and even though we only knew her for a short time, she came to support our fundraiser for a senior dog hospice/sanctuary. We knew instantly she had a beautiful soul. Her goodness will live on with all of us. Our condolences to her family.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Carol’s death and we would like to express our deepest condolences to April, Andrew, and her extended family. I had the good fortune to know Carol both as a friend and a collegue for many years. During the mid 80s Carol was my daughter’s kindergarden teacher at Fred Wild and lived with her two children in my neighborhood. She was an exceptional teacher who truly loved her students and took pride in helping them achieve their potential. She and I shared many good times with our children when they were in elementary school. Carol had the most delightful sence of humor, perhaps more so than anyone I have ever known. We shared hours of laughter and I have many positive memories of those days.
Carol was a very unique person who never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. She had a very special place in her heart for children with disabilities and children who grew up with limited opportunities. All that Carol achieved in life, she worked very hard to earn. The joy and core purpose of her life were her two children. She did everything in her power to give them a good home and a variety of rich experiences she didn’t have growing up.
Regretfully as years went by, we both moved to different neighborhoods, and we were busy with our careers and family obligations . Over the years we would see each other at family funerals and other life celebrations but with time and different paths we lost touch with one another.
It was said by Thornton Wilder, “The highest tribute to the dead is not grief but gratitude”. I feel enomous gratitude to Carol for all the light and laughter she brought to our lives. She will be forever remembered by us as a good friend with whom we shared treasured moments, over many years, all that passed too quickly.

Carol was such a great lady and friend. She taught both of my kids where we formed a friendship for the last 20 years. She loved her kids so much and was just a great person. She will be greatly missed by us.
