Carol's obituary
Carol “Mimi” Wendl passed away in her home in Sierra Vista, Arizona at the age of 68 years old. She was best known for her smile that could light up an entire room, as well as her caring warmth, her laughter, and the boundless love she showed to everyone to make them feel seen and loved.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a longtime resident of Dayton, Ohio, Carol dedicated her life to helping others, as a dedicated nurse and always as a devoted mother. She poured her heart into raising her children and taking care of her family, a role she cherished above all else.
Carol’s love didn’t stop with her own family. She was “Mimi” to everyone, offering support, comfort, and compassion to all who needed it. She had an extraordinary gift for seeing the best in people, and always gave the benefit of the doubt. No one was ever excluded, and everyone felt welcome in her presence. Her hugs were famous for their warmth and comforting love she carried for everyone.
She loved life fully, from dancing and telling jokes, to enjoying entertainment and shows and family nights in. Her greatest joy was being near her children and grandchildren and the pets she kept throughout her lifetime.
Carol is survived by her children, Christine Harris and Paul Wendl, and by her grandchildren, Fin, Aria Annika, Austin and Zac, who will forever remember her radiant and cheerful spirit.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched with her kindness, her love, and her zest for life. In her memory, her family invites everyone to honor her by offering a hug, a smile, a kind word - or a little dance - just as she would have done.
