Carol's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol "Nana" Swenson on June 27, 2025. A woman of grace and compassion, Carol was born on January 1, 1930, to Adolph and Caroline Swenson who blessedly predeceased her.
Better known to her family and friends as Nana, Carol was cherished for her caring and compassionate nature. A hardworking woman, Carol was not one to shy away from life's challenges, facing each with determination and resilience.
Carol's love for her family was deeply woven into the fabric of her life. She is survived by her beloved grandson Trent Schofield. The bond she shared with Trent was a true testament to her capacity for love and devotion. Her daughter, Faye Schofield, who Carol lovingly remembered, predeceased her.
Music brought great joy to Carol's life, especially the songs of Josh Groban, which she would often play as she engaged in her favorite pastimes of painting and playing the organ. Her love for the bold and vibrant colors of life was reflected in her art and her favorite color, green.
Carol was also fond of enjoying a glass of grapefruit juice or a side car, often while indulging in her favorite television shows - The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, and Golden Girls. These small pleasures provided great comfort and happiness to Carol throughout her life.
Among her many accomplishments, Carol was particularly proud of her remarkable bowling skills, having bowled multiple 300 games. Yet, arguably, her greatest accomplishment was the love and warmth she spread to those around her. Her memory and her spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who were privileged to know and love her.
