Tunnel to Towers was especially important to Carol because it represents the values she held closest to her heart—courage, resilience, and family. She had experienced profound loss in her own life and understood deeply what it meant for families to be supported during their hardest moments. The foundation’s mission to honor sacrifice and care for those left behind spoke directly to her sense of compassion and responsibility to others.
