Carol's obituary
In Loving Memory of Carol Munn
October 3, 1960 – July 24, 2025
After a courageous battle with cancer, Carol Munn passed away on July 24, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her. A devoted Christian, Carol held strong to her faith throughout her life and especially during her illness, never wavering in her belief that God would walk with her through every step.
She proudly spent her career as a traveling construction worker—a rare and remarkable path for a woman of her time. Known affectionately on job sites as “Mama Bear,” she earned the nickname for always watching out for her crew and making sure everyone stayed safe. Her strength, warmth, and protective nature left a lasting mark on all who worked alongside her.
Above all, Carol deeply loved her family. She was the cherished wife of Berry Munn of Florida, her devoted partner of 37 years. She is also survived by her beloved sister Patricia Bryant of Florence; her nieces Gina Pierce, Tina Mumford, and Nancy Williams, all of Florence; and her three sons: Mark Parker II, the eldest, of Darlington; Christopher Parker, her middle son, also of Darlington; and Michael Munn, her youngest, of Florence.
Carol’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched—with her fierce love, her steady faith, and hands that built not just structures, but a life of purpose, strength, and devotion.
