Carol's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Jean Lee, born May 13, 1944, and departed from this world on December 23, 2023. Carol, a woman of unmatched uniqueness, blessed all those around her with her warm, witty, and artistic personality. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and creativity shines bright, even as we mourn her loss.

Carol is survived by her loving children; son Harlen Lee and daughters Leonora Rowland and Celia Shipp. She was a devoted and inspirational mother who remarkably raised her three children from her wheelchair, all whilst battling Myasthenia Gravis. She has many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She will be remembered for her passion for creative projects, her ingenuity in any situation and fondness for logic puzzles. Her strength, determination, and lively outlook stands as a testament to her indomitable spirit and will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her.

Forever remembered for her love of all things bright and beautiful, Carol adored the color yellow, butterflies, and angels. These symbols of joy, transformation, and divine guidance aptly reflect her own vibrant soul. As we remember Carol, we also celebrate the loving and accepting nature she embodied.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held on March 9, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, 680 W Sharon Road Forest Park, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to remember Carol, share stories, and revel in the love and light she brought to the world. Please wear something bright and colorful to honor her spirit, ( no black ).

Donations are being accepted for The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation Great Lakes Chapter. Contributions can be made at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of…. Your generosity will help others and serve as a fitting tribute to Carol's own spirit of giving.

Carol's light has dimmed in our world, but her influence continues to shine within those who loved her. Her spirit remains unmatched and is sorely missed. We will hold her memory in our hearts forever.
