Carol's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Hupfer, a beacon of kindness, love, loyalty, and good humor, who left us on September 6, 2025. Carol was born on February 7, 1945, and throughout her life, her vibrant personality and zest for life enthralled everyone around her.

Carol’s dedication towards her family was unparalleled. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Curtis Hupfer, with whom she shared countless summer weekends boating and enjoying the beaches of Napatree Point, Rhode Island, their favorite retreat. She leaves behind her loving children, Kristin and Eric Hupfer, his wife Jeneen, and cherished grandson Luke.  She will be  forever remembered as a loving and supporting mother and grandmother.  She is also survived by her adored siblings, Joanne Peyron, Susan Kopyscinski and Phillip Mather.  Her laughter, love, and lessons on kindness and friendship will remain in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Known for her artistic flair and passion for interior design, Carol's creations and love for aesthetics were appreciated by all. This love poured into her hobbies too, which included golf, painting, and jewelry making. Not to be forgotten was her unexpected but delightful hobby of tap dancing, which epitomized her fun-loving spirit.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held on October 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at 7 Davies Cir. Old Saybrook, CT.  All who knew Carol are welcome to join us, remembering her, celebrating her life, and reflecting on how she touched our lives.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are being collected for the Shriners Hospitals for Children, an organization close to Carol's heart. Donations can be made online at https://everloved.com/life-of….

Carol's legacy of kindness, friendship, and love will always stay with us, serving as a gentle reminder of a life well-lived and a woman greatly loved. She will be deeply missed.
