Carol has been in my life forever. She bared the cold to help me build my first snowman. Through all the times spending time at the house with Kelly and Kyle to my years at the kitchen table with with Carol with her English book along with mine. Making sure I passed English every year. Then her becoming a second grandma to michaela
Where do I begin? Your parents welcomed us so kindly with a picnic at Independence dam where I met the Breese family. Litttle did I know then how much a part of my life your parents would become. From sleepovers to carpooling and countless ball games, they were always there to cheer us all on. Such great memories of two very wonderful people!❤️❤️❤️
I remember dozens of fun childhood memories, but the one that sticks out the most to me of my grandmother is when she took my brother and I to the drive through Safari. I remember feeding the buffalo through the window, and the next thing we know, we're screaming and rushing to the other side of the car as the head of the buffalo came right in after our cups of food. I remember Papa being worried about the longhorn scraping his van with its horns, too. Definitely brings me a laugh anytime I think about it, and I'm grateful we did it regardless of how scary things got.

we had just finished supper, but I told mama I was still hungry. her response to my remark was "Bologna!" to which I replied, "Mmmmm Bologna".  she wasn't to pleased with what I had to say.

Some of my memories of Carol: 1) Members of the Bible study were enjoying her pool. My daughter - preschool age- was standing at the end splashing. She started to walk into deeper water. I told her to come back. Carol just stood up quickly and hopped in the pool and pulled her up into  the air and gave her a hug. My daughter never knew she was in danger. 2) I remember a Mother-Daughter Banquet when we decorated hats. We took a silly picture of me modeling one.3) Carol could come pick me up wearing jeans to drive to Archbold for lunch and shopping errands. 4) She called me to tell me the church piano had been moved back to the proper side of the stage. She also told me our Friend Dorothy had moved and wondered if I wanted the address. "It will take me awhile to get it and come back." She was quiet several minutes before coming back to the phone, but didn't have the address. Words were hard for her then. I told my husband, that Carol was not herself. 5) After she came home from the hospital,I called her and read some Scripture verses from Isaiah and a Psalm. She responded," you are a good friend." I encouraged her to take one day at a time.  She died a couple days later. - Poinsettias, the welcome mat for my MI house, Bible study leader, Book Club leader, friend.
