Carol's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol Boyd-Austera, who left us peacefully on September 13, 2025. Born on March 14, 1975, her soulful existence touched many lives with her loving, caring, kind, and compassionate personality.

Carol is survived by her partner of many years, Kimberly Conklin, her children Robert Austera and Brittany Austera-Pana, and her sister Linda Calimlim. Her memory will continue to be cherished by her grandchildren Gabriella Pana, Hailey Pana, Jade Austera, Bentley Austera, Aubrey Austera, and Easton Allender.

Her son and daughter-in-law, Jordyn Allender and Waldemar Pana, will miss her dearly. Her niece, Kristina Mauler-Stranahan, nephew Billy Mauler, and those who were privileged to have known her will keep her in their hearts.

Carol was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Austera, her mother, Juanita Mikulski, and her sister Kathy Mauler. We take solace in knowing they’ve welcomed her with open arms in heaven.

Carol had a zest for life that was reflected in her love for tacos, cheese curls, and her fondness for playing Monopoly GO! The colorful personality she embodied was mirrored in her favorite color, blue.

Her favorite pastime was playing on her laptop. She held a great admiration for TV shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Master Chef and cheered for her favorite sports team, the Baltimore Ravens whenever they played. Her loss will leave a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of each life she touched.

We will remember and celebrate Carol not by her departure, but by the love, laughter, and memories she shared with us during her stay with us. Her legacy will stay with us forever.
