Miss bass was the most sweetest lady there ever was!!! She was the counselor at Blair when I went as a young child. When my parents we’re struggling one year to get me and my brother Christmas she pulled through for my parents and helped them in their time of need! She was an amazing woman that I’ll never forget. Our 2 younger boys got the chance to go to Blair and meet her.  We love miss bass and she will always have a big place in my heart!!! I will miss her so much!!!
Oh sweet Ms Bass, I always loved seeing you in the hallway at Blair and even long after I left. You never forgot me and my sister with our rhyming names and you were always so happy! You were an incredible woman, and I know your life will continue to be celebrated by those you’ve touched over the years. Thank you for taking the time to talk to and  hold 7 year old me when I came into your office crying that morning many, many years ago.  One can only hope to meet someone like you in their lifetime and I thank God for your life and legacy here.

Carol and I became friends during our first year at UNCW. She was always so radiant and inspirational, emitting Christ's love through so many situations and circumstances. Over the years, she retained that wonderful "twinkle in her eyes", that we all know so well.

She will be greatly missed, but she is dancing now like never before.

Miss Bass - you were so helpful to Gordon and Abby and myself on our move from KY to NC. Thank you for your guidance with my family and so many other children and families during your career. You truly are a gem!
I am sorry to hear of Carol's passing.   Though I have only seen her a few times, I was struck by her incredible radiating joy.  Condolences to her family and friends.
Our lost Heavens gain! Happy memories of your life. We love you! 💕

My boys were so sad to hear about Miss Bass passing. Such an inspirational lady!
While there is no way to really comprehend how many lives Carol blessed during her walk on this earth, I will forever be reminded to live in a way that would bring a smile to her face.  As a friend and coworker, I am grateful that my own children had the privilege of experiencing the love and guidance of "Miss Bass" throughout their Blair years. When our daughter's "Miss Ann", (she kept many children at home),  passed away, Daylon was in one of Carol's small grief support groups during which time the children made individual "memory boxes" of their loved ones. I think maybe we need to do that, Blair family and friends. We are better for having her in our lives. She is rejoicing and living her everlasting life!
Carol was not only a friend but a coworker. I was there the first day she entered the halls of Blair Elementary and immediately fell in love with her. She has been a constant light and joy in my life, my family and the Blair School Family. Can't imagine life without her but rejoice that she is in no pain and is reunited with her mom, WC and her aunts that loved her so. Love you always, Carol. ❤️
