I was greatly saddened to hear of Carol's passing today at the LCCC "Lunch Bunch" gathering of (mostly) retired counselors and advisors. Carol was a valued colleague in counseling who attended this gathering for several years after she retired and before she and Jim moved to FL.  She and I continued to meet in FL a couple times, as I live just south of her during the winter months. What a beautiful light she was, faith-filled, caring, loving, and devoted to Jim and her family.   She was very proud of Kelly and Chris, and we would hear about you often.  Working alongside of her, we knew her as conscientious, dedicated, thorough, wise, trustworthy, and well-liked by her students.  There was also another side of her -  passionate and authentic about the things she believed in, the values she held dear - which we would also hear about!  We loved and appreciated every bit of her.  So I will miss her - her ready smile, her loving heart and her belief in the goodness of life.  My deepest condolences to Jim, Kelly and Chris.  God speed, Carol.

I was so sorry to hear about Carol's passing. She was such a wonderful person, kind, caring ,and thoughtful.  She was a great asset to Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Vermilion, OH.  Prayers for Jim and her family.

I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of Carol's passing.  Sending Loving thoughts of Peace & Loving Memories to Jim, Chris & Kelly.  I lost my sister, Heidi, at 58 and my brother, Wayne, at 56 to cancer.  Thank You for sharing and encouraging everyone to be their own advocate with persistence!  I am so very proud of ALL of YOU!    Love, Roberta
Chris and Kelly, I was so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. She was such a gracious woman! Jerry and I are thinking of you and pray for God’s peace for you both and for Jim. Love, Jerry & Patti

Jim, I am so sorry for your loss.  Losing loved ones is always very hard.  When it is your life partner, it is so very hard.  I know that feeling and to this day, I still go out periodically to the Cemetary to share feelings, especially in the late evening when it is just myself and Curt.  My heart hurts for you.  I will pray for you as you adjust to this loss, and also you now need to take care of yourself.  It sounds like your kids are there.  Brian has reached out to me and he cares so much.  I have grown to love Brian and Karen very much and am grateful for the fact that they live reasonably close.  God be with you as you walk this journey.  I love you.  LaVerne
