My sister, Rosenelly Pérez, and I created this memorial fundraising page to honor our beloved mother, Carmen Matos.
Our mom had a compassionate heart and believed every animal deserved safety, care, and love. She often wished she could save every animal in need and protect them from harm. Supporting this cause is a meaningful way for us to carry on her legacy and the kindness she showed to others.
We know she would be truly grateful for any donation made to help animals in need. Your support—no matter the amount—helps continue the kind of compassionate, lifesaving work that organizations like Best Friends Animal Society do each day.

How are donations used?
Donations are used to make the biggest impact in ending the killing in America's shelters. This includes our major no-kill initiatives, funding our lifesaving centers, and grants to our Network Partner organizations.

What can be done with a $100 donation?
$100 helps provide six weeks of formula for an orphaned newborn puppy.
