Beautiful, loving, caring, nurturer, great cook, selfless, funny, wife , mother, grandmother, aunt, kind, compassionate, accepting, brave, guiding, hospitable, resilient, and graceful...

When I think of you and the typeΒ of woman you were, these all come to mind.

I remember In Bushwick, all the family gatherings and food and laughter. I remember you and my grandmother meeting at the staircase every weekend to share meals and talk for hours.

Wish we knew we were in the good old days, while we were in them.

You lived a long beautiful life and you're leaving us with so many wonderful memories, and for that I thank you. Thank you for all your love, kindness, generosity, understanding, compassion and humor.Β  Β Spending time with you was always filled with great food and laughter.

You were and always will be a symbol of home and love. A reminder of a beautiful time of happiness, family, and unity.

But now you have some very special people waiting for you. Lando, Diane , Edgar, Jaqueline, grandma, and the rest of the family who have crossed over.

In the short time I'd see Carmen during the day, she always had a smile and was always happy. She was a person that would make your day when you saw her. I am sorry for your loss and she will now Rest in Peace. God bless!
