There will be a Memorial Mass at 10 AM on Monday December 16, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish for Carmella D. Angelo age 94, who passed away December 09, 2024 in her home.

Carmella was born April 15, 1930 in Alliance, Nebraska a daughter of John & Mary DeBacco and was a lifelong Alliance resident.

She worked at Newberry's Wholesale for 16 years retiring in 1989. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society, Legion of Mary, and Lady of Mt. Carmel She also was a member of Women’s Auxiliary of the Missionary of Sacred Heart and Alliance Senior Citizens.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and playing cards.

She is survived by her children, Madeline (Dennis) Fedele of Omaha, Nebraska; Sandra J. (Peter) Mortaro of Thornton, Colorado; Sam (Marijo) Angelo of Lincoln, Nebraska; and three grandchildren Anton, Eric, and Andrew Peter and a great grandson Tristan.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Pappa, Edith Gonder, Betty Herubin, and her brother Medio DeBacco.

There are calling hours Monday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish.

Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
