I was so sorry to hear about Carlton's passing. He was such a sweet and gentle person. Always greeted me with “How are you?” even though he just finished with another cycle of chemo. Always walked me to my car when I was leaving his house. Always had a positive attitude and smile on his face no matter what’s going on. He will always have a special place in my heart.

My condolences to Carlton's family. I first met Carlton in the summer of 1975 at the home of Eddie Bradford. We became instant friends and over the years we were in constant contact. Carlton has ( had) a very warm and open personality. He has ( had) the ability to a complete stranger feel like they have known him for years. Every time Carlton and I spent time together it was a blast constant laughter and honest conversations. Over the years , we kept in touch not so much in person but communicating using emails and text messages. As time passed and our lives changed- it felt so great to get that message or phone call. Carlton was(is) a very important person in my life. I will miss him every day and will try to pay it forward with all the goodness and kindness he taught me. Good bless you Carlton and until we meet again- Go Eagles , Phillies, and 76’ers. 🙏🏿❤️

Wow! I am not even sure where to begin. I met Carlton when he came to what was at that time Colonial Penn Insurance Company. We were then purchased by GE. I worked with him for approximately four to five years. Every day was an adventure working with Carlton. Those of you who have worked with him knows exactly what I am speaking of when I say this.  We both were supervisors in the Call Center along with two other Supervisors. We all got along so well and worked extremely cohesively together.  Carlton had this lovable type of personality while being studious at the same time. He was so studious, I started calling him "Doctor" instead of Carlton and so did everyone else in the department! After he left the company, the four of us still kept in close contact with him. We updated each other on how he was doing once he moved to California.   He was such an admired individual with a great sense of humor.  He will be missed tremendously!  May God rest his wonderful soul in Heaven! Carlton, you were loved my friend! Tina, I am here if you need anything at all. Please just reach out.

Carlton. You were a great friend and mentor to me. You taught me so more than you even ever knew about humility and respect. I’ll always remember our chats about the Birds, Sixers and Big 5 hoops. Pork Wings! “I ain’t never seen a pig with wings.” I’ll always remember that quote from you! Haha. I am so happy I was able to catch up with you last year when I was in SD. I’ll never forget that. C was always willing to give his time and expertise to our youth. He came to my organization (Delaware Futures) during our annual job fair to talk with the students about his time in college and his career. C gave an inspiring message to the students along with his business card. My fellow Virgo brethren and I (my BD 9/2/57) became fast friends at IUP. To all family and friends condolences are due. Happy trails to my brother... till we laugh again.

I met Carlton during our St. Farm training program in Irvine in 2011. As I recall, he was kind, soft spoken, and a true gentleman. It was the times when he dropped his professional look that I enjoyed him most. He was quick witted and quick to laugh. After the program, he headed to San Diego and I to LA. If the distance hadn't been so great, I'm certain we would have remained close friends.
