Personal note from Melody Ruiz

Rest in peace daddy. You are now with our creator. I feel so grateful to have had as much time as I did with you.  I will always remember you greeting me “good morning” everyday. Telling me “Mag ingat ka” everytime I go to work. I will never forget your smile eveytime you are happy.

You will always be remembered for your selfless deeds. How you always share your time, talent and treasures without expecting anything in return. How you make the less fortunate feel special whenever you were with them. You're always willing to offer help to any one who knocks on your door no matter how big or small their problem was. I didn’t realize it then, but the biggest lesson that I’ve learned from you dad was genuine kindness. You made everyday an opportunity to be kind to anyone around you.

Daddy you will finally be with St. John Bosco your patron saint. I will always remember how devoted you are to him and his works. I will always remember your dedication to your fellow Bosconians. How it makes you happy serving your alumnus.

You are a hardworking, strong, loving, and gentle father. You showed me how to love people unconditionally and to always fight for what I believe in.

You have always had medical problems ever since I can remember. But what stood out to me was how you woke up everyday still eager and willing to work to provide for our family no matter how sick you felt. You will take any job there is to make sure you bring food to our table. No matter how big or small the work was. You were the jack of all trades: a bake shop owner, photographer, artist and many more. I was always in awe because I don't remember anything that you can't learn, fix and create. You once told me that you truly believed that if you worked hard, treated people right, and sa awa ng Diyos you could have a good life.

Daddy, your body might have been fragile but you still always showed strength and never failed to spread love up until your final moments. I will always love you.
