Carlos's obituary

Carlos Alberto Obregon born in Havana, Cuba, Sept.14, 1959, to Fernando & Maria Machado Obregon. His parents were tobacco plantation owners in Cuba and mother was a Professor at the University in Havana. At a young age, Carlos and parents emigrated to the US during the Cuban revolution. A unique story of Carlos is that he witnessed the assassination of JFK in Dallas as he was a small boy watching the Presidential parade at that grassy knoll. Carlos grew up in Arlington, TX and graduated Arlington High School in 1978. For several years he lived in South Padre Island, TX, where he met his future wife. Carlos is survived by his wife, Tammie, a step-daughter, Kira, and 3 siblings: Gilley Obregon, Marie Obregon Harness, and Barbara Obregon St. Laurent. Carlos resided in Lakeway, TX, and passed on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021.
