To the Shimek Family,

I was so saddened to hear of Carla's passing. It was such a shock. I want to send my condolences to her beautiful daughter Lanita and family and to her siblings (my cousins) and their families. She was always such a joy to visit with, such a beautiful person. It was too far in between when I saw her and my cousins but you all mean a lot to me and I send my love. I'm sorry I cannot make it to the funeral. Blessings to all of you  . May Carla be overjoyed to be with her husband and parents and all of her loved ones that have gone before her.

I absolutely loved Carla, she was one of the first people to welcome me to Texas and be comfortable in my new surroundings, I loved getting to do her hair! She was such a joy to be around, We bonded over our love of cocktails, books, and talking about trips, And her amazing style. Her last time in the Salon she brought us all in a coffee and made our whole day! She was always thoughtful, she reminded birthdays for everyone which is a lost art! I loved her stories and I tied making banana bread for the first time this week and i used the vanilla she got me from Mexico, it was amazing! I will hold her in my heart forever. Thank you for sharing her with me! We love you babe! From Trina and the Greenbriar team we love you! I'm so sorry for the family's loss of this beautiful woman, I know how much she loved you all!
