Carla's obituary
This incredible woman was born in Elon College, North Carolina to Carlton and Jessie Roberts on January 20th, 1959. She attended Western Alamance High School and proceeded to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She bled Tarheel Blue and was the 1980 UNC Homecoming Queen.
Carla married Charles (Larry) Brandenburg on November 28th, 1981 in Elon College, North Carolina. They went on to have four vibrant children, Courtney Lynne Brandenburg, Kyle Lawerence Brandenburg, Corey Andrew Brandenburg, and Aaron Kip Brandenburg. Carla and Larry were married for 38 beautifully memorable years where they shared an unconditional love for their children and grandchildren, as well as watching endless baseball games. She was a kindergarten teacher and a flight attendant for United Airlines for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, four children, two grandchildren, and four siblings.
Carla Lynne loved Jesus more than anything in Life, he was her greatest friend. She was a light, a presence, and an endless beam of sunshine to be around. The number of lives she touched with her love, smile, and aura is countless and cannot be replicated. She was a warrior. As earthly beings, we gained the greatest guardian angel.
We love you, REST IN PARADISE CARLYN, we’ll see you on the other side!
