Carl Lee Ross, the son of Joseph S. Ross and Shirley M. Lambert, died in his home in Summerfield, Florida on September 6, 2021. Dr. Ross was born on August 9, 1952 in Elmira, New York. He graduated from Southside High School, and in approximately 1977, he moved to North Carolina for several years before moving to the state of Florida.
Carl is survived by two children and two grandchildren.
Carl was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy, and maintained a private practice in Belleview, Florida. He held a Doctor of Behavioral Health degree (DBH) from the Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies and was a nationally certified counselor. He also held a Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans.
Carl loved to live life. He enjoyed traveling, watching movies, laughing, reading, and most of all - helping others. He was a devout Christian and served as a member of the Knights of Columbus for the Catholic Church.
