Carl loved Halloween....Sometimes I would find something unusually silly or "cool"

We lould laugh and Linda would roll her eyes at us....

Always loved, never forgotten…
Always loved, never forgotten-Rest easy my friend-Pre paring the dogs for their Christmas photo(s). Carl, Linda and I had more fun the the dogs....

Carl was my brother-in-law.  Here is part of one of my grandfather's poems that he wrote and recited on the occasion of his and Carl's birthdays in 1976. Cheers to them both!

"This is a rare event, indeed.

To celebrate it, here we meet.

One is not 80 every year

and, what is more, one is still here.

And to a great deal this depends

On you, my Family and Friends.

For your affection, care and love

Made smooth my life, when it run rough.

And so my thanks from all my heart

To everyone who is a part

Of me and what today I am.

I thank you that today you came.

And suddenly here, something clicks-

Tho' he is only 26.

Carl's birthday is so close to mine,

The thing to do was to combine

The two. Good luck God bless,

We wish you all the happiness.

Not only are the birthdays close.

So are we too - we feel it both.

And as we enter the new year,

Lift up your glass and give a cheer.

To all here present - clear and loud.

I drink to you, you lovely crowd."

I will never forget this day,…
1974, Las Vegas, NV, USA
I will never forget this day, our first time in Las Vegas (Carl was 24). When I shot this picture of Carl, Diane, and Alan, the security immediately jumped on me and threated that if I take another picture that they will take my camera away. So, this picture is one in a million. Dear Carl, rest in peace.

I'll never forget; I was 8 years old in 1989. My Father took me to the red carpet premiere of the movie "All Dogs Go to Heaven." He worked on the back end of the film and sold the deal to get his company to process the movie's film and he was so proud to personally work with the director Don Bluth. The movie bored me to sleep and I could not wait to leave. After the movie my Father takes me to meet Don Bluth and Mr. Bluth crouches down, looks me in the eyes and says "So howdya like my movie kid?" I told him, "I didn't think it was really that good". I looked at my Dad and he looked like his head was going to explode. He was so angry when we got in the car to leave, but by the time we got home he was laughing and saying "It really was an awful movie". I do not think Mr. Bluth ever worked with my Dad again, at least we were not invited to any future movie premieres. Love you Dad!
