Background
Carl was driving trucks and making plans for his future. On October 13, 2020 he checked in after work, seemingly happy, good spirits, and attributed new aches and pains to aging. November 4th, he learned he had blotches on his liver at the ER, which were missed by his primary doctor the previous week. On November 16th, he received the biopsy results, confirming he had pancreatic cancer. On December 8th, barely a month after realizing his aches and pains were not related to aging, he passed, at the age of 69.
