We mourn the loss of a great man, Carl Battee, who was born on August 23, 1953, and sadly left us on December 17, 2023. Carl was a man known for his serious yet caring personality. He always believed in the importance of working smarter, not harder - a lesson that he passed on to those lucky enough to have known him.

Carl is survived by a diverse and loving family who will always cherish his memory. His loving wife Margarita Grande. His children, Laura Battee, Carl Jr. Battee, Deven Battee, and Anthony Battee, along with his step-sons, Jorge Grande and Juan Grande, grieve his departure. Carl's family is further extended by his daughters-in-law, Cynthia Narvaez-Grande and son-in-law, Steve Bigalow, who are also taking his loss to heart. His departure also leaves a void in the lives of his grandchildren: Zana, Marcus, Alex, Nathan, and Mia Grande; Andrew, Scarlett, Venus Battee and Marilyn Bigalow.

The family invites you to commemorate Carl at a gathering on January 4, 2024, at 4PM to 7PM, at Douglass  Mortuary in Lynwood CA.  A memorial service will be held in honor of Carl on January 5,2024 at 9:30 AM at St. Hellen Catholic Church. They appreciate your affection and support during this difficult time.

A swing of sorrow has cast a shadow over all of us with Carl's departure. His wisdom, love, and caring aura will be deeply missed. His legacy, however, lives forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. We honor Carl's memory and draw strength from the life lessons he left behind. The void he leaves cannot be filled, but the memories he created will live on.
