I remember we were having a big party at Jeff's house and one of the new arrivals accidentally hit Jeff's dog with his car. It was past midnight and Carin and I were a couple. I think that I was the only one that knew she worked as a vet tech at Gansett Animal Hospital on Newport ave. I told her the dilemma and she just put on a calm demeanor surrounded by a chaotic scene. She took control got everybody working together and opened up the hospital to treat Jeff's dog. Alas the dog could not be saved. But my pride in her was unquantifiable. Her friends saw her differently after that..........Paul V.

I have so many memories in my heart where they will stay for now. I’m unable to put them into words at this time. But I want to share that the last voicemail Carin left me on NYE says “ sheesh B, I hate you so so much, but I love you so much more”. Very fitting for Carin. She either loved you or hated you. There was no in between. Our horses were our common bond. She was always there for me as I was for her. I love You C. I’ll miss you so so much. My heart is broken
