It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cardey "Car" Cooke. Born on January 14, 2006, Cardey left us too soon on April 22, 2024. A vibrant soul, Cardey was unfailing in his kindness and generosity, leaving an enduring legacy of authenticity and perseverance.
Cardey was a proud alumnus of a high school in Texas City, TX, class of 2023. He had a large spectrum of interests that reflected his diverse personality, beckoning a universal admiration.
Known for his appreciation of a simple yet refined lifestyle, Cardey enjoyed the rejuvenating essence of Green Tea. He had a distinguished taste in literature, with one of his favorite books being "The Shack". His love for storytelling extended to his favorite TV shows, which included NCIS and Law & Order, and his fondness for "The Shack" was notable in his choice of films as well.
Cardey was an ardent sports enthusiast. The Tennessee Titans and OHIO State held a special place in his heart. It was his love for sports that also inspired his recreational choices. Cardey found solace in the adrenaline rush of playing football and running track. His preferred mode of exercise was running, demonstrating his firm belief in leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
Cardey held a fondness for the picturesque landscapes of Tennessee, marking it as his favorite vacation spot. His color preferences were as unique as his personality – a blend of Gold and Black, symbolizing both regality and strength.
Those who knew Cardey best described him as caring, sweet, easy-going, and understanding. He believed in the strength of individuality, and his lesson "To always be yourself and to never let anyone stop you," is something that will continue to inspire us in our malleable moments.
Cardey's significant accomplishments include winning 1st place in Track and clenching state in wrestling. His dedication, sincerity, and hard work were instrumental in these stupendous achievements.Cardey's legacy is a testament to his life's philosophy. He championed the cause of being true to oneself and not letting obstacles deter one's path. It will serve as a beacon, encouraging everyone who had the privilege of knowing him to embrace their true selves and pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.
He found out he had lung cancer at the age of 6, then found out he had a brain tumor at the age of 14. And them he found out he had stage 3 heart cancer back in December of 2023, he found out the cancer in his heart wasn't getting a smaller by the end of March, he had finally reached stage 4 cancer.. He fought as hard as he could but sadly at 7:22pm on Monday April 22nd, 2024 he passed away peacefully in his sleep...
