Caralin's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Caralin Coffer on January 14, 2025. Born on August 5, 1938, Caralin leaves behind a legacy filled with a tumultuous life and resilience to overcome barriers.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie and predeceased by her beloved son Robert.
Caralin touched many lives through her service to the community as a senior volunteer patrol for the Poway, Ca Sheriff's. Her dedication for her career saw her contribute 30 years to the San Diego County Council as a legal secretary, is one of her greatest accomplishments.
Though she had a staunch and serious personality, Caralin had a deep love for the arts, animals, flowers and recreation. Her favorite performances to watch were ballet and ice skating, she found immense joy in country music. She had a particular fondness for television shows like NCIS & Forensic Files and reading romance novels that stirred her interest in love stories and mysteries.
Caralin cherished time spent in nature and pursuit of creative activities. She loved planting flowers and riding horses and found great satisfaction in carving wood and doing various other crafts. She was a member of a PT cruiser club in California that traveled together to other states for events and car shows. Walking and bicycle riding were her preferred ways to exercise and she often delighted in visits to local tea rooms.
Although she was color blind(blues and reds) Blue was Caralin's favorite color and she enjoyed pastries and tea's. Her love for these simple pleasures reflected her appreciation for life's small but significant joys.
In 1976, Caralin faced a life-altering moment with strength and grace, as she navigated through a divorce raising her young daughter and teenage son by herself.
Caralin's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. We will remember her not just for her accomplishments, but for the dedication she demonstrated throughout her lifetime.
