Capers and my Dad (Harry Platt) worked together at American Brake Shoe/Abex for years. My Dad thought the world of Capers- I think he respected Capers more than anyone he'd ever known. Long after they retired, they would call each other on their birthdays. (They were born the same year.) When my Dad passed, Capers officiated at his funeral. Thanks to Capers, it was the most beautiful service ever. My Dad would've been so proud. I'm hoping they are together in "the great foundry in the sky," as my Dad would call it. It was an honor to know and love Capers Bell. Sending deepest, heartfelt sympathy and love to his family.
The best decades of my life are the direct result of Reverend Bell's interventions. I can't thank him enough for his interventions and advice. He was truly the loving dad who called me, and many more in need, his son or daughter.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He was truly blessed to have a daughter like you and to live a long and wonderful life. - Donna Natale, ateenterprises
Rev. Bell was always kind, uplifting and welcoming to me. He called me” daughter” and that always meant so much. I’ll always remember that he was joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

I loved Rev. Bell. From the time that I met him until his passing I always felt loved, respected and encouraged by him. The fact that I am a woman in ministry never seemed to matter to him. He would always tell me "just preach the Word." I am going to miss him very much.

Once you start talking it's hard to get away. He was brutally honest in a good way he always had a scripture for you.

My condolences to your family. I would see Rev. Bell every month when he would come into Suburban Propane to pay his bill. I saw him every month for almost 20 years. I miss seeing his smile and hearing his wise words. Rest In Peace my friend until we meet again.

To the Family of Rev. Bell:
I know, as my life grows older,
And mine eyes have clearer sight
That under each rank wrong somewhere
There lies the root of right;
That each sorrow has its purpose,
By the borrowing oft unguessed
But sure as the sun brings morning
Whatever is--Is Best
I know there are no errors,
In the great eternal plan,
And all things work together
For the final good of man.
And I know when my soul speeds onward,
In its grand eternal quest,
I shall say as I look back earthward,
Whatever is --IS Best.

Let not your heart be troubled---Lillie Stone

I remember every time I talked with Rev. Bell he had a scripture to share. He loved talking about the bible and I enjoyed him sharing his thoughts with me I miss him so much. He has gone the last mile of the way. God bless his memories in our minds and may we follow him in his love for God's word.
He was Uncle Capers to me he was my dad Bennie older brother. Uncle always had a smile and encouraging words from the Bible, true man of God he lived the life as a true man of God. He visited us and we visited him when I was younger. He had a smile that would light up a room, he had a Godly spirit. He will truly missed. He is in the presence of his holy father at rest in heaven. Love you Uncle and will miss you. My mother Nancy sends her love and condolences, from the Bell family in Cleveland love you family
