Candace is still missed by many and particularly by her family. She graced all our lives with her newsy notes that gave us energy and let us know she cared.
Thank you who have given us the opportunity to share our thoughts and memories about Candace who was a high school classmate. This helps us to value her even more. Blessings,

Candy & I hit it off from the beginning. I didnt get to see her (or you) nearly as often as I would have liked but I always loved the time we did have together. See was such fun & she always made me laugh. Even though we didnt see each other often I miss her terribly. I know she is watching over us. I always felt a little special to be called her friend. I love ya girl. You were a fighter. Now you can sit & be comfy all of the time. <3
Theres sooo many, where do You start. I had a good childhood, not perfect, but great. I talked to you almost every day. I still want to call you and tell you things. I could make you laugh. I miss you , Mommy. My Mama , My Mom.
Candy and I had a lot of fun times growing up in Tarpon Springs. She was always the life of the party. The memories will always be special to me. Rest in peace dear friend. Angela Smirlis Becker
Candy-- I grew up with your lovely sisters, Connie and Cindy. You had already left home by then, but left your sisters with some great stories, and some reallyfluffy 1950's prom gowns to play dress up in. Love to your sweet family. Kathy Slatton Helms From down Riverside Drive.
To you Ed and all your family may you know the peace that surpasses all understanding and may you sense and know the care and concern that emanates from the heart of God. Right now it is hard to feel any of this at the loss of your dear "Candy!" Sh er felt she had little to give but she always gave from the heart. Many in her Class of 1962 knew her when she was five years old and we were in Helen Tutt's Kindergarten Class at Tarpon Springs Elementary School. Again, know Candy and you all are not forgotten. "Shalom" and "Adio!!!"

John, I remember how you reached out to me when my mom passed. It touched me more than you could have ever known. I was considering doing the same. But after reading this page I decided that in lieu of flowers I'd make a donation to the Humane Society. During this hard time just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Candy wore many hats: Mama (as I liked to call her), M.I.L., and Nana ; a friend, a wife, a caregiver, just to name a few. She welcomed me into her family with open arms from the first day I met her when I was nervous as could be to “meet the parents”. I knew when she asked me to share her dessert with her that we would get along great. Fast forward almost 6 years and I’m now proud to be her daughter-in-law and mother to her youngest granddaughter. I will forever be indebted to her for raising the man that her son, my husband, John became. She loved her family, her friends, Bingo on Tuesdays, McDonald’s Frappes, lunch with her friends, a good road trip with her husband and puppy, and visits to Walmart and the Dollar Store. She was generous, funny, kind, and found and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life - eating at the truck stop, spending time with her loved ones, and one of my favorite memories just sitting on the porch with me when I would get off work, in the nice breeze talking about the most random things. While physically not with us, she’s still here every day - in her children and grandchildren and everyone whose lives she touched. No one is truly gone when there are so many beautiful memories that remain, and boy do we have good memories. Those who were part of her life are so fortunate to have known her, myself included. Love you mama!
So sorry Deb may she RIP was hoping to hook up with you and Deanna when you were here but I’m still unable to drive and get around from my recent surgery. There’s always a next time take care ❤️
