Rest peacefully you touched many lives. Mr Kearney was my go to person at Crossroads Charter. He would always find a way to make me smile even when I was in trouble.

We grew up as brothers really, in Chesnutt Hills, Fayetteville NC, his mother Mae & her husband Robert always treated me special, example there were 3 sisters of course guys came to visit, at midnight their parents would say is time for everybody to leave. I got up to leave both said you don't have to leave you're our son. It was like that, many people thought to this day we were actual siblings. Calvin was most likeable and you knew he was in the room, if you had soft skin you were in trouble because he ALWAYS had jokes & nobody was the exception. We fought together, ate to together, his brothers Robert (Highlight) best friends, Calvin was the baby, he will be missed, I want say good bye seems to permanent, can't say so long to impersonal. I'll say good night Prince, see you in the morning! Bobby, Gloria & Pat
Candace I love ❤️ you all, your brother & uncle from another mother.

To the family,
My heart is with you all. Uncle Calvin welcomed me into the Kearney family from day one, and he loved his family with a depth that showed in everything he did. He shared so much wisdom with me, encouraged me to pursue my doctorate when I doubted myself, and filled our texts and quick chats with laughter. I’ll always cherish the little hints he gave me about his famous baked beans.
Love you, Uncle Calvin. Take your rest.

Calvin and I worked together for several years teaching the D.A.R.E. program. He was an outstanding teacher, Officer and friend. I could share many stories about our adventures teaching that program. He always made me laugh and kept me on my toes. The students adored and respected him. A one of a kind public servant and forever friend. RIP Calvin. 🇺🇸💙🙏🏻
