Caleb's obituary
Caleb was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but lived in many places throughout his life - Hawaii, Arizona, Michigan, Texas, and most recently England. In his heart, though, he always considered Texas his true home, especially with his love of guns and having the freedom to own and carry them there.
Caleb was a bit of a Renaissance man. Many thought of Caleb as the "chef", which he was (and an amazing one at that), but he was truly a Jack of all trades holding positions such as a bartender, dress cutter, deli worker, kitchen manager, sous chef, head chef, and satellite technician. He was so outgoing and such a people-person, that no matter what position he was in, he easily made friends.
He always said he had a lot of "useless knowledge", but he loved sharing that knowledge with those around him. It could be anything from how to change a car's brake pads to how to debone a chicken to why a friend's gluten-free cookies wouldn't rise. Because of this love of learning, Caleb had an incredible knowledge of words as well. He loved crossword puzzles and word games and dominated them, which is why his wife didn't especially like to play with him.
Caleb also had a servant's heart. He loved to use his knowledge and great skill to help anyone who needed it. He worked on many things around his own house, like putting up security lights or installing a new kitchen faucet, but he especially loved helping both his mother and mother-in-law, even going so far as to patch his mother's roof during a wild New Mexico windstorm.
Caleb leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Stephanie; his mother, Carolyn; his brothers, Kendall and Joshua; his sisters, Celeste, Crystal, and Rachel; countless nieces, nephews, and cousins; a plethora of friends; and his beloved pets, Doug, Huey, and Gracie.
