CAL's obituary

Cal Davis born on Feburary 3, 1938 to the late Deacon Issac Davis and Lillie B. Davis.
Cal was born in Red House Virginia where he joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He later joined the US Army and received and honorable discharge from Fort Hamilton, NY. After serving several years in the military, Cal with a heart of Gold became a school bus driving. After an accident Cal became a security guard for the Nassau County Medical Center,(Meadow Brook) East Meadow, New York.
Cal with his talent of singing the gospel, had joined several choirs from Virginia to New York. He sang with Faith Baptist, Shiloh Baptist Church and several other Groups. Cal was a joy to be around. He really had a flair for fashion and Shopping was a weekly traditions for him, either he needed a new suit or Hat or something, enjoyed looking Good. Cal Would visit his daughter every summer to go shopping for the season. In his early days he would drive around town going to various Yard Sells. Cal was a joy to be around, he enjoy hanging with His Kids at family events. Cal also enjoyed traveling with Beatrice and Steve to places Like Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and specially going back and forth to Vig
Virginia to See his Loving Sister Augustus.
On May 15, 2021 Cal was called Home to be with the Lord. He leave to Cherish is Memory, 1 sister Augusta Broadwater. 2 Sons Brian K. Davis of RVC, NY and Cal Davis Jr. of Hempstead NY 7 Stepchildren Linda (James)Burroughs, Faith Robinson, Jeanette Rainey, Charles Siebert, Beatrice (Russell) Henderson and Steven(Cindy) b Robinson. Cal has 27 grand-kids, and 10 Great Grands in which he was very fond. And a host of Nieces and Nephew and two Special Friends Serena Jones and Ms. Darlene both of Lynchberg Va.
