Burton's obituary
ATTORNEY BURTON LEROY FISH, 85, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Erie, Pennsylvania. A lifelong resident of Erie County, he was born on February 15, 1940, in Erie to Leon and Bertha Fish.
Burton pursued higher education with distinction, graduating from Allegheny College before earning his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He went on to build a respected legal career practicing law in both Erie and Harborcreek, Pennsylvania. His dedication to the legal profession and his clients earned him a reputation for integrity and professionalism throughout the region.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Burton served his country as a member of the United States Marine Reserves. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duty into every aspect of his life.
Burton was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Harborcreek, where he found spiritual grounding and community.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara Fish; sons and daughter Brian Fish, Markus Fish, John R. Fish, Joseph Graff, Heather Graff, and Craig Graff; and grandchildren Bree Fish, Katelin Fish, Nina Fish, Alexa Fish, Thomas Luke Fish, Collin Scharrer, ,Cassandra L’Heureux ,Max Ramona,"Maddie Golemblewski, Great Grandchildren,Evelyn, and Jaxon's "L'Heureux
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Bertha Fish.
Outside of his professional life and family commitments, Burton enjoyed hunting and travel—pursuits that reflected both his appreciation for nature and his curiosity about the world around him.
