Bryn's obituary

Bryn Leon Johnson of Meridian, Idaho passed away Monday afternoon, June 24, 2019 in his home at the age of 67. Bryn was born August 22, 1951 in Pocatello, Idaho to Melvin Abner Johnson and Minnie Irene Fairchild; he was the sixth of seven children. He attended schools in Pocatello and also attended Layton High School in Utah until 1968. He had an astounding artistic talent, attending Idaho State University in the Arts with the aspiration of amplifying that ability.

Later in his life, he held many different career opportunities including working in an oil field in Pocatello, Idaho. Bryn was also a paper delivery man for the Post Register in Idaho Falls. His favorite pastimes were cooking, swimming, camping, pic nics and hosting barbecues. Bryn also enjoyed playing frisbee with his family at the park. A few significant hobbies were mechanics and auto body projects with his cars. He took pride in his vans, and other vehicles including his 1975 Chevy Vega, 1979 Dodge Magnum and Jeep Wagoneer, to name a few. One of his favorite things to do with his family were fishing trips to the Blackfoot Reservoir. A fun activity he liked to do there was drink fresh water from the water hole.

He was proud of his landscaping and carpentry skills. Considered a handyman, Bryn was always working on a new project, fixing any problem around the house or the yard. When he was younger, he had a talent for singing and playing the guitar at the local bar, and could play an impressive solo by ear on the piano. He had a passion for music. Some of his favorite bands/artists were The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Bee Gees, The Animals, Bob Seger and Elton John, including a plethora of other artists. Every night he would listen to Art Bell on the Coast to Coast AM radio station. The most noteworthy attributes about him were his love for his children, family and animals.

Bryn was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Minnie; two sisters, Leah and Myrl, including a brother, Nord. He is survived by his brothers Guy (Sharon) of Pocatello, Idaho; Ken (Patti) of Camas, Washington; Dal (Carrie) of Meridian, Idaho. Seven children: Zyon of Caldwell, Idaho; Chad of Caldwell, Idaho; Angeleah (Ethan) of Rigby, Idaho; Eckoe and Skyden of Idaho Falls, Idaho; including two additional children, and grandchildren.
