Bryant's obituary
Bryant Emory, aged 93, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Oxford, NC. Born on September 26, 1931, he led a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his community.
Bryant honorably served in the US Navy, where he embraced the rigor and camaraderie of military life. His commitment to service continued at IBM, where he retired after 25 years, valued for his steadfast work ethic and team spirit.
He was a devout member of Greystone Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina, where he found spiritual solace and community.
Bryant's leisure time often found him on the golf course, a passion that provided him both relaxation and challenge.
He is survived by his daughters, Vorita Emory Wennermark (James) and Charline Emory; step-daughters, Dale Strigo, Tammy Cheek (David), and Tracy Hunter (Mike); and granddaughter, Lauren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca Moody Emory; his son, Stanley D. Emory; his parents, Ralph Lane Emory Sr. and Irene Perry Emory; and his brother, Ralph Lane Emory Jr.
